TRAC Electric Central Drives

What can eTRAC Electric Central Drives provide?

With ZF being the world´s market leader in conventional driveline solutions for mobile excavators, we have extended our product portfolio by electric drives. The newly launched system consists of a 2-speed powershift transmission, electric motor and inverter. It can be scaled up to peak torque 850 Nm and continuous power of 80 kW. In this way, ZF is helping to make zero-emission construction sites already a reality today.

Power Electronics

Description

What can Power Electronics provide?

In motor operating mode, the bi-directional power electronics convert the battery’s direct current into a three-phase current for the drive motor. The motor speed is achieved by varying the frequency. In generator operation mode, the direction of action is reversed and power is supplied to the battery, i.e. the battery is recharged by recuperation. It thus forms the bridge between the battery and the electric motor.

MULTITRAC Rigid Axles

What can MULTITRAC Rigid Axles provide?

ZF has optimally matched the axle series MULTITRAC MT-E 3000 to mobile excavators. Due to the modular design and a refined component strategy, the number of parts has been reduced by 25% in comparison to the previous models. A standard brake concept with encapsulated, wet multi-disc brakes was installed on the front and rear axle. Direct installation of the 2-speed powershift transmission belonging to the system is possible.

MULTISTEER Steering Axles

Description

What can MULTISTEER Steering Axles provide?

ZF has optimally matched the steering axle series MULTISTEER MS-E 3000 to mobile excavators. Since the brake is directly acting onto the wheel hub, the undesirable swaying of the vehicle during on-site operation is significantly minimized. In addition the steering kinematics has been optimized. The steering cylinder is integrated into the axle bodies and lies behind the axle in a protected manner.

HL-Series Powershift Transmissions

Description

What can HL-Series Powershift Transmissions provide?

The hydrostatic powershift transmission series (HL series) for mobile excavators comprises three performance classes with identical installation design. The transmissions can be mounted separately on the undercarriage as well as directly on the ZF axle. Efficiency has been increased and transmission gear ratios have been enhanced. Through compact design and standardized mounting points assembly is facilitated and the space required is significantly reduced.

DR-Series Swing Drives

Description

What can DR-Series Swing Drives provide?

With swing drives from the DR model range, ZF completes the system portfolio for all mobile excavator applications and thus ensures precise swiveling and braking of the upper structure. The drives in two-stage planetary design are characterized by very compact installation dimensions and easy maintenance.
