eTRAC Electric Central Drives

What can eTRAC Electric Central Drives provide?

Guided by the principle of zero emissions, we recently have extended our product portfolio for backhoe loaders by electric drives. The newly launched system consists of a 2-speed powershift transmission, electric motor, inverter and ePTO. It can be scaled up to peak torque 850 Nm and continuous power of 80 kW. With this innovative drive solution, ZF is helping to make zero-emission construction sites already a reality today.

What can Power Electronics provide?

High loads, continuously variable speeds as well as precise and effective planning – the fully power-split CVT technology (Continuously Variable Transmission) of cPOWER combines these characteristics with fuel savings of up to 10 percent. The cPOWER operates at low engine speeds, thus increasing efficiency and driver comfort in graders even more. As there is no mechanical connection between engine and driveline, wear through heavy loads is almost being eliminated.

In line with the system concept, ZF offers electric motors for the working hydraulics including the power electronics. Together with the drive control, the power electronics, the gearbox and axles, all components are thoroughly fine-tuned with each other.

What can ERGOPOWER S Powershift Transmissions provide?

The demands on compact construction machinery are continually increasing. This is particularly true in inner-city areas where modern vehicles must in future be more mobile and maneuverable. This trend is also expected to continue with backhoe loaders. The series of hydrodynamic power shift transmissions WG 90/94 offers optimal conditions compared to conventional synchronized manual transmissions both for quick reversing and for driving on the road.

MULTITRAC Rigid Axles

What can MULTITRAC Rigid Axles provide?

The MULTITRAC MT-B 3000 series is available for the classical design of backhoe loaders with a rigid rear axle. The axles are conceived for high axle loads and are equipped with inner, wet multi-disc brakes which have a high disposable braking torque. Due to the enormous ruggedness of the axles dynamic axle loads are possible.

MULTISTEER Steering Axles

What can MULTISTEER Steering Axles provide?

The front axle of backhoe loaders must withstand the highest stresses. It not only needs to bear extreme stress levels, but also has to maintain its steering precision with a full shovel. ZF has specially developed the MULTISTEER MS-B 3000 axle series for these requirements. The steering cylinder is securely attached to the axle bridge and operates with a large steering angle. This produces very high maneuvering capability even with large front wheels.
